About Me

I got pregnant at 32, had a miscarriage, got pregnant again and had my first at 33.  Had my son at 36.  And I am currently pregnant with another boy at the ripe old age of 39.  I saw a midwife and she never made an issue of my age.  However, with my first geriatric pregnancy, my midwife was attached to a doctor’s office.  They made a huge issue of my age and I often felt bullied into tests I didn’t really want.  I would even joke that the eggs were 35 years old, so they didn’t need to worry.

My midwife always eased my mind and even with my most recently pregnancy, they have never made me feel bad for being older.  This experience and the feelings I personally have about being an older mom inspired me to start this community to support other women.

I hope this site brings you comfort, laughs and joy.

Best,

Amanda
